Some Palmer history

Walter Palmer was born in 1585 in England, and died on Nov. 10, 1661 in Stonington, New London, CT. He married [2nd wife] Rebecca SHORT on June 1, 1632 in Charlestown, Suffolk, MA. Rebecca was born apx. 1607 in Charlestown, England and died on July 15, 1671.

Gershom Palmer was born June 16, 1644, in Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts, and died Sept. 27, 1718 in Stonington, New London, CT.
He married Ann DENNISON, daughter of Capt. George Dennison and Ann Borodell, on Nov. 28, 1667 in Rehoboth, Mass. Ann Dennison was christened on May 20, 1649 in Roxbury, Essex, Mass., and died in 1706 in Stonington, New London, CT.

Gershom Palmer was born 1672 in Stonington, New London, CT, died in Killingworth, Middlesex, CT. He married Sarah FENNER, daughter of Capt. John Fenner and Sarah CLARK, about 1698. Sarah Fenner was born in Saybrook, Middlesex, CT., daughter of William Clark and Katherine Bunce.

John Palmer was born in 1705 in Killingworth, Middlesex, CT in 1705 and died in Dover, Dutchess county, N.Y. He married Mary WARD Jan. 15, 1730, she daughter of Peter Ward and Mary Joy(e).

Fenner Palmer [who is entered in the Stonington Barbour collection with the first name "Prince," which he changed in his teen years to honor his grandmother Sarah Fenner, see above], was born Sept. 16, 1735 in Killingworth, Middlesex, CT. He married Lydia BUELL, who was born in 1736 in Killingworth, daughter of Nathaniel Buell and Deborah Horton. Lydia died May 18, 1776 in Hoosick, Rensselaer County, N.Y.

Peter Ward Palmer was born in 1766 in Dover Plains, Dutchess, New York. Married Polly OSBORNE, who was born about 1770 in NY state.

Ephraim Palmer was born on May 27, 1788 in Mapleton Springs, Saratoga, New York and died Jan. 21, 1875 in Santa Ana, Orange, California. He married Hannah PHELPS, daughter of Noah Phelps and Ruth Loveland about 1806 in Lowville, Lewis, N.Y. She was born Jan. 12, 1790 in Cambridge, Washington, N.Y., and died March 9, 1828 in Antwerp, Jefferson, N.Y.
Ephraim married (second) Mary Baker, 1830, in Jefferson county, N.Y.

Mary Melissa Palmer, was born Feb. 19, 1821, in Leyden, Lewis, N.Y., and died Dec. 14, 1887. She married Walter Dewey HUBBARD, who was born Feb. 14, 1821, in Leyden, Lewis, N.Y. and died Dec. 14, 1887.

Ella Hubbard, daughter of Walter Dewey Hubbard and Mary Melissa Palmer, b. Feb. 3, 1853, Turin, Lewis, N.Y., died Nov. 16, 1923, Boonville, Oneida, N.Y. Married John Henry BROWN. He born June 4, 1846, Greig, Lewis, N.Y., died March 25, 1909, Greig, Lewis, N.Y. (Great grandparents).

Wallace Drayton Brown, born June 14, 1878, Greig, Lewis, N.Y., died June 1, 1944, Boonville, Oneida, N.Y. married Ruth Belle JACKSON, b. Sept. 15, 1879, Leyden, Lewis N.Y., died Feb. 20, 1937, Boonville, Oneida, N.Y. (Grandparents)
